Our organization, Cascadian Action, is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, legal, and inclusive environment for all volunteers, members, partners, and leadership. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and sets the standard for how we interact with each other and with the public.
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of membership.
Cascadian Action is an independence organization for the Pacific North-West, and as such, does not advocate for any forms of organization in violation of any articles within the legal parameters of the Constitution of the United States, nor the constitutions of any of the states in which Cascadian Action may operate. All applicants must acknowledge these laws before applying. In line with ORS 166.660 2b, Cascadian Action condemns any form of aggravation of ‘civil disorder’ defined in ORS 166.660 4a as “acts of physical violence by assemblages of three or more persons which cause damage or injury, or immediate danger thereof, to the person or property of any other individual.”
For all intents and purposes, the terms “secession” or “independence” within the context of any statements published by Cascadian Action in reference to the rights of states, will be exclusively defined as “complete legislative sovereignty in regard to economic, electoral, media, environmental, and educational reforms initiated by the local, non-federal state decisions”.
The right to this is ensured by the Constitution of the State of Oregon (2020) which states in Article 1, Section 1:
“We declare that all men, when they form a social compact are equal in right: that all power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their peace, safety, and happiness; and they have at all times a right to alter, reform, or abolish the government in such manner as they may think proper. —”
This right is also stated in the Constitution of the State of Idaho, Article 1, Section 2:
“All political power is inherent in the people. Government is instituted for their equal protection and benefit, and they have the right to alter, reform or abolish the same whenever they may deem it necessary; and no special privileges or immunities shall ever be granted that may not be altered, revoked, or repealed by the legislature.“
This same right is alluded to within the Constitution of the State of Washington, Article 1, Section 2:
“All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights.“
We call upon the statutes imposed within these state legislations to advocate for the independence of the Pacific North-West, for a more perfect representation of the will of the people within the PNW (Pacific North-West).

“Treason against the state shall consist only in levying war against it, or adhering to its enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.“
Cascadian Action as an independence organization does not advocate for any form of levying war nor adhering to enemies of the state— Nor will any advocacy of such action from members of any rank be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the organization (Suspensions from Cascadian Action will be as long as willed by local chapter authorities). Cascadian Action will only operate within the confines of the legal systems of the United States, while reserving the right to freely organize with the intent that advocacy for the rights of the citizens laid out in Article 1 of the constitutions of Idaho, Washington, & Oregon, may be fully realized.
